YouCaring.com

Crowd-funding has been such a great addition to internet culture and it doesn't get any better than funding/supporting humanitarian causes. YouCaring was coming off a fresh rebrand and needed help moving a lot of pieces forward at once.

I helped catapult the new brand with designing an online community that brought all these humanitarian stories, initiatives and daily activities to one inspiring place. "Funding" is about financial backing... "Support" is about sharing your story, participating in other's initiatives, collaborating/learning and much much more. I led a design process that organized the community into various genres and categories as well as explored the use of bright/positive colors to extend the brand into a more intricate digital experience.

In running an interactive studio, you truly find yourself not just wearing many many hats, but wearing many many different tool belts. The difference being, a hat is what you wear to temporarily fill a role, a tool belt is what you have when you bring real experience to the role you fill. Technology is such an integrated part of my studio's offering, I often consult clients beyond design and into engineering/execution... from a technical perspective I was able to offer YouCaring insight on the best way to decouple their funding platform from their community and marketing initiatives, giving them independence and flexibility to move both platforms forward full steam!
